The Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Meynardo LB. Montealegre, together with Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony during the opening of the first Yellow Cab Pizza restaurant in Brunei in Kiulap, BSB on August 11, 2017.
Also present during the event were Mr. Peter King, CEO of Max’s Group Inc., the owner of Yellow Cab Pizza, and Dato Paduka Haji Harun bin Ismail, Chairman of YTT Sdn. Bhd., the franchise holder of Yellow Cab Pizza in Brunei.
In his remarks, Dato Haji Harun revealed that YTT Sdn Bhd will soon open Yellow Cab Pizza branches in Labuan, Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysia.
Yellow Cab Pizza opened its first branch in Makati Avenue back in April 2001 to give Filipinos “a full New York pizza experience.” At present, the pizza brand is present in many PHL locations, and has branches in the US and in the Middle East.
As part of its economic diplomacy initiatives, the Embassy fully promotes the expansion of PHL brands in Brunei Darussalam. END
