WUSHU FEDERATION OF ASIA VICE PRESIDENT AND BRUNEI WUSHU FEDERATION PRESIDENT CALL ON PH EMBASSY

Philippine Embassy Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) Pete Raymond V. Delfin received Wushu Federation of Asia Vice President Julian Camacho and Brunei Darussalam Wushu Federation President Lim Boon Hwa in a courtesy call at the Embassy on 14 January 2019.

Mr. Camacho, who is also Secretary General of the Wushu Federation of the Philippines, was in Brunei Darussalam to attend the signing ceremony for Brunei’s hosting of the 10th Asia Youth Wushu Championships to be held on 16-24 August 2019 which is expected to be participated by 20 to 30 countries from the Asian region.

He shared that during his brief visit to Brunei, he was able to discuss with relevant Bruneian stakeholders the accommodation and logistic requirements of the Philippine delegation. He also requested support from the Philippine Embassy and the Filipino Community in Brunei in cheering for the Philippine team during the competition.

Mr. Lim Boon Hwa, on the other hand, conveyed that the Brunei Wushu Federation is also making preparations for the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games to be held in the Philippines in November of this year, conducting training programs for its athletes within the country and abroad.

CDA Delfin expressed his appreciation to Mr. Camacho and Mr. Lim for visiting the Philippine Embassy and providing updates on the 10th Asia Youth Wushu Championships. END
