PHL Embassy participates in Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT) “Hari Raya Open House”

The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam participated in MOFAT “Hari Raya Open House” held on 13 August 2016, 7:30pm at the Plenary Hall, International Convention Center.  The event was attended by MOFAT officials and personnel, together with their families, as well as the other embassies in Brunei.

The guest of honor was Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, MOFAT’s Ambassador-at-Large.  She was accompanied by her husband, Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Hj Abdul Aziz, the Principal of Royal Customs and Protocol.

The embassies were given stalls to showcase their local cuisines. The Philippine Embassy offered Philippine-made polvoron, dried mangoes, ice cream and other traditional Filipino food.

The Philippine made-ice cream, produced by The Food and People Inc.(TFPI) and exported under the brand Fruits in Ice Cream (FIC), was a favorite during the said event. Attendees of the open house of different nationalities lined up to have a taste of the product.

The event proved to be a very important gathering for MOFAT, other missions, including their family members, to be acquainted with one another as well as their respective countries’ local cuisines.  END.
