Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam held an Awarding of Certificates of Appreciation and a Photo Exhibit in Celebration of National Volunteer Month and of the Migrant Worker’s Day

The Philippine Embaasy in Brunei Darussalam on 9 December 2016, in observance of the National Volunteer Month, held an Awarding of Certificates of Appreciation at the Chancery for the volunteers during the Filipino Community Gathering with the President on 16 October 2016. The event was also a celebration of the Migrant Worker’s Day.

Said activity was part of the Embassy’s three-in-one event titled “Natatanging Pagtitipon,” a year-end gathering with the Filipino Community.

Certificates of Appreciation were awarded by HE Meynardo LB. Montealegre, Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, to the one hundred three (103) of the three hundred seven (307) volunteers during President Duterte’s State Visit to Brunei Darussalam.

After the awarding, there was a viewing of photo exhibit on the Embassy’s activities for the year, which involved Filipino volunteers, such as the Filipino Community Gathering with the President, the Filipino Language and Cultural Enrichment Program (FLCEP) held on 13 to 17 September 2016, and the Filipino Community’s participation in the 32nd Brunei National Day Parade on 23 February 2016, among others.

The exhibit was Post’s way to thank the Filipino Community for its volunteerism and continued support to the Embassy’s programs and activities. END
