PHILIPPINE EMBASSY GRACES THE OPENING OF THE PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR’S CUP BOWLING TOURNAMENT 2017

Philippine Embassy officials, led by H.E. Meynardo LB Montealegre, attended the opening of the Philippine Ambassador’s Cup Bowling Tournament 2017 organized by the Filipino Bowler’s Club of Brunei (FBC) on 19 October 2017 at the IBowl, Utama Bowling Center, Bandar Seri Begawan.

In his message, Ambassador Montealegre commended the officers and members of the FBC who organized the tournament. He also urged the FBC to continue to be a strong partner of the Embassy in promoting programs for the Filipino Community and set a good example in observing the statutes of the host community.

Ambassador Montealegre urged the Filipino Community to harness these close relations to further their advocacies in promoting the country as an investment and tourism destination, and at protecting the welfare and interests of the overseas Filipinos in Brunei.

A total of eight (8) teams will be competing in the tournament. An exhibition game participated by Embassy personnel and officers of the FBC also took place during the event.

The Embassy fully supports the activities organized by Filipino Community organizations, including sports events that promote healthy lifestyle and strengthens fellowship among the Filipino nationals in Brunei Darussalam. END
