Netizens hit Meralco’s quick response to Richard Yap’s bill complaint online

Kapamilya actor Richard Yap recently took to social media to air his frustration on the spike of his latest electricity bill. He said it was three times higher than their average monthly bill.

On Twitter, Richard shared a photo of their electricity bill amounting to P55,652.

“A lot of people have been complaining about their @meralco bill. Instead of billing the average of 3 months they have been multiplying our bill 3x. How did our bill end up this big when we’ve been paying our monthly bills?” wrote Richard in the tweet.

After about 20 minutes, Meralco responded to Richard’s tweet.

“Let’s check on that, Richard. Kindly provide thru DM your Service Identification Number or Registered Name and Service Address indicated on your electric bill for our reference. We will be waiting,” said Meralco’s Twitter account.

Some netizens, however, hit the electric company for giving a swift response to the celebrity, unlike them who didn’t get any response despite efforts to reach out to Meralco for similar concerns.— Source: Lyka Nicart / latestchika.com
