Veteran radio announcer Jun Banaag will bid farewell to his radio program “Dr. Love” after airing on-air for over 20 years.

Banaag said that the program will have its last episode on August 28.

“After all those awards that the program has received, after all the acclamations that the program has gained from people, sa lahat ng makukulay na mga kasaysayan na naganap sa programa sa loob ng dalawampu’t isang taon, wawakasan po natin sa Biyernes, a-beinte otso ng Agosto,” Banaag said.

“In as much as we want, nauunawaan natin ang management, pero huwag po tayo mawalan ng pag-asa.

The veteran broadcaster said he felt sad about the program because it became a habit for him.

“Napakasakit po sa loob ng dalawampu’t isang taon, tayo’y magkakasama for two hours. We were just contented with just one hour left, pero kailangan nating tanggapin ang mga pangyayari.”

Unlike other DZMM anchors, Banaag vowed to stay loyal to the radio stations.

I just love the station that much. Wala ho akong planong lumipat ng himpilan, mawalan man ang programa ko,” he said.
