Mom loses print shop after ECQ in March, has P50-k a day chicken biz in June

When her print shop after Metro Manila was placed on enhanced community quarantine in March, Minda Nacario was suddenly left without a steady source of income for herself and her infant.

Minda and her husband also got separated.

With a P2,500 initial capital, Minda started selling a few chickens online. Now, she’s selling five tons of chicken a day, earning P50,000 daily.

“Pero dumating po ‘yong time na kaya naman pala, hindi naman pala puwedeng tuluy-tuloy ‘yong ganoon kung masipag ka talaga,” she added.

Minda was invited to be part of Quezon City’s stores on wheels program that brought goods to communities under lockdown.

In just a matter of three months, Minda now has three stores of her own and two cars. She’s also in the middle of having a storage room built for her goods.

Minda also helped her relatives who lost their jobs amid the pandemic, hiring them to help out in her business.

-NB, GMA News
