BASIC COMPUTER TRAINING COMMENCES FOR 51 OFWs IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, through the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and the Overseas Worker Welfare Administration Office (OWWA), initiated a Basic Computer Training program for active OWWA members. The program commenced on 21 October 2018 with fifty one (51) OFW-participants at the Cosmopolitan College of Commerce & Technology Sdn Bhd, Berakas, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Of the 51 OFWs enrolled in the training, twenty (25) are household service workers, twenty four (24) are skilled workers and two (2) are professionals.

The training, which is part of the Reintegration Program of the POLO-OWWA, intends to give additional knowledge on basic computer and internet concepts to the OFW-participants. Classes will be held for five consecutive Sundays and a simple graduation program will be held for those who successfully complete the training on the last day of classes, 18 November 2018. END
