Art Circle Gallery, in collaboration with 511 Arts, held an informal art exhibition in Brunei Darussalam on 10 November 2017 in Mukim Berakas, to promote paintings by Filipino artists to collectors and enthusiasts in Brunei.

Featured artists in the exhibition were Manuel Baldemor, Monnar Baldemor, Reymar Conmigo, Chris Pizzaro, Anton Mahilum, Nilo Badajos, Alwinder Sarmiento, Levi Yu, and Ann Baldemor.

Prior to the exhibition, Malaysian architect and entrepreneur Mr. T.K. Sii, and Filipino architect Mr. Christheart Corral, accompanied by Art Circle Gallery Art Curator, Sarah Alcantara, visited the Embassy and paid a courtesy call on Embassy officials. They donated a painting in oil pastel by artist Rey Conmido titled ‘Ifugao Woman” to the Embassy.

Art Circle Gallery houses an eclectic collection of various works of the Filipino artists from their respective art movements – from the masters such as Fernando Amorsolo, Frederico Alcuaz, “BENCAB”, to well-known contemporary artists such as Norma Belleza, Manuel Baldemor, Michael Cacnio, Nilo Badajos – all famous in their own right. Art Circle Gallery currently has nine (9) branches in Metro Manila with its main gallery located at the Shangri-la Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City.

The Embassy fully supports Philippine-based companies and activities that promote Philippine arts in Brunei Darussalam. END
